Cleveland Cavaliers conduct manager Tyronn Lue says he has a symbol for Kevin Garnett on his coaching staff, according to Jason Lloyd of a Akron Beacon Journal.
Garnett has not voiced seductiveness in coaching given announcing his retirement final week though his wife, Brandi, has been pulling for it, Lue told reporters.
“I talked to him about it. we know his mother is pulling for it a lot,” Lue said. “Brandi is pulling for it, perplexing to get him to come and coach. He says he’s not prepared yet. He goes back, ‘I competence do it,’ though he’s behind and forth. We’ll see. But I’d really make a symbol for him if he wanted to come behind and coach.”
Garnett will attend a Cavaliers’ ring rite on opening night opposite a New York Knicks on Oct 25.
In Feb 2015, Garnett was asked if he would ever be a manager in a NBA. He responded by saying, “Hell nah.”
Garnett averaged 17.8 points, 10.6 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 1.4 blocks for his 21-year career.
