HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) — Authorities contend a male being ecstatic to jail in a Connecticut military cruiser slipped out of his shackles and pounded a state guard behind a wheel, causing a car to crash.

State military contend 24-year-old Chad Nadeau was en track to a Hartford Correctional Center on Friday night on domestic assault charges.

Police orator Lt. Paul Vance says Nadeau was in a newcomer chair when he liberated his hands and assaulted a trooper, causing a cruiser to snake and eventually pile-up into a median on Interstate 91.

Police contend Nadeau fled on feet though was shortly apprehended.

The guard and Nadeau had teenager injuries.

Nadeau is being hold on $100,000 bond. He is scheduled to seem in justice Monday to face charges from his strange detain and a shun attempt.
