POUGHKEEPSIE, New York — Officials are anticipating to strech a concede after a preference to mislay American flags from glow trucks influenced a debate that has gained inhabitant attention.
The city’s Board of Fire Commissioners on Monday voted, 3-2, to have Arlington Fire Chief Tory Gallante mislay a flags from a backs of 3 glow trucks, the Poughkeepsie Journal reports.
Gallante tells a Journal he has been “inundated” with phone calls charity support and expressing beating in a preference to mislay a flags. He will will accommodate with glow elect authority Jim Berretta on Thursday.
“I have perceived a ton of emails, phone calls, visitors, 99.9 percent of people expressing their annoy and things with carrying a flags removed,” Gallante tells wamc.org. “Obviously, we was really dissapoint with a board’s gauge as was a dialect personnel.”
The flags had been recently mounted on a backs of a trucks during a ask of a firefighters union, a Journal reports. Fire commissioners pronounced a flags are a “liability” during normal operations by firefighters.
