The University of Notre Dame lane and margin teams will send a prejudiced squads to contest this weekend in a Billy Hayes Invitational, hosted by Indiana University during a Robert C. Haugh Track and Field Complex on Saturday, May 3.
Coach Joe Piane’s men’s and women’s teams will move only throwers and jumpers to this meet, giving between 10 and 15 tyro athletes a event to validate for a NCAA Regionals during a finish of May. The remaining group members will have a weekend off after competing in a ACC Outdoor Championships Apr 17-19 and a Drake Relays final weekend, Apr 24-26.
Action during a Billy Hayes Invitational will start during 11:00 a.m., Saturday morning with a women’s produce chuck and a men’s pike with a final events, a men’s discus set for 5:00 p.m.
Following this weekend’s accommodate during Indiana University, members of a Irish lane and margin teams will transport to 3 opposite meets subsequent weekend – May 9-10 – as they contest during a Dr. Keeler Invitational in Naperville, Ill., a Grand Valley Last Chance Meet in Allendale, Mich., and a Virginia Challenge in Charlottesville, Va.
These 3 meets also will be used by Notre Dame group members as a balance adult and a final possibility to validate for a NCAA Outdoor Preliminary Meet that will be hold in Jacksonville, Fla., May 29-31.
