A 16-year-old Detroit child has died after being shot in a conduct Christmas Day while he and friends played with a gun.
The Detroit News and WDIV-TV news that a teen was taken off life support Friday during an area sanatorium and that a 19-year-old has been arrested.
The 16-year-old was shot about 1:30 p.m. Thursday during a home in a city’s ancestral Virginia Park neighborhood, about 3 miles north of downtown.
Police contend a teen and friends ages 19 and 17 were in a basement, and it wasn’t immediately transparent who pulled a trigger.
Officer Jennifer Moreno told a journal that both friends were questioned Thursday and that a gun was brought into a home by one of a 16-year-old’s friends.
