EAST HAMPTON, N.Y. (AP) — An 800-pound sea turtle that became tangled adult in wire in East Hampton, Long Island, has been set free.
The 5-foot-long invertebrate got caught off Gardiners Island around 3 p.m. Sunday.
Scientists from a Riverhead Foundation for Marine Research and Preservation responded after removing a call from a U.S. Coast Guard.
